North Devon 2s recorded a hard-fought 3-0 win against Sidmouth and Ottery 4s to maintain their 100% record at the top of the league. Losing several younger players to school fixtures meant that North Devon were on the back foot for much of the first half, but the defence maintained their shape and composure in the face of a physical opposition and Phil Daniels made some smart saves in goal. A great effort from Oscar and Toby Spear, sprinting to the match straight from their school game, gave North Devon an extra dimension in the second half. Bradley Bellingham with two smartly taken goals and Simon Allen with a fierce strike from a penalty corner proved enough to seal the win. With other notable contributions from newcomer Sean Doidge, man of the match Jolyon and captain Andy Arthur this was an excellent all round effort.
