Safeguarding Policy
The Club offers Hockey to Boys from the age of 13 on Wednesdays and where appropriate Saturday matches.
The Club`s Committee follow England Hockey Safeguarding guidelines. Our Safeguarding Officer keeps his knowledge of Safeguarding updated through certificated courses.
The Club is committed to offering Junior Players safe and enjoyable access to Hockey. We aim also to be able to liaise with Parents when appropriate and will respond to any questions or concerns they may have as quickly as possible.
It is the responsibility of all Club Members to be vigilant around Junior Players. If a concern were to arise Members are asked to pass the concern straight to the Club Safeguarding Officer who will investigate further and if necessary signpost the concerns to local agencies such as CYPS or the Police. The concern should also be passed to the Safeguarding Department of England Hockey. Parents will be informed unless it is deemed unsafe to the Young Person
Should the concern involve the Safeguarding Officer then please pass the information onto the Club Chairman. If there are any questions raised please let the Club`s Committee know.
